Sorcerer Software KeySpeed March, 1994
*****************************************************************************
KeySpeed gives you a way to change the keyboard's delay and repeat rate.
It allows you to manually adjust these parameters by entering the values
of your choice, or it will configure your keyboard to the default settings
or the fastest settings automatically for you.
OPERATION:
Start KeySpeed by typing at the command line (DOS prompt):
KeySpeed <Enter>
You will then be prompted to enter the delay repeat and rate repeat of
your choice:
delay: specifies the amount of time that must elapse (after
pressing a key) before the character is repeated. Valid entries
are 0 to 3, representing 250, 500, 750, and 1000 milliseconds.
0 is the shortest, 3 the longest.
rate: the rate at which a character is repeated on the screen
when you hold a key down. Valid entries are 0-31
There are 32 choices in all. 00 is the fastest, 31 the slowest.
If you prefer to work with the fastest possible keyboard speed, just type:
KeySpeed /0 <Enter>
This is the same as setting delay=0, rate=00.
The default setting for most keyboards is delay=1, rate=12. This will be
entered automatically if you type:
KeySpeed /1 <Enter>
LIMITATIONS:
We have not yet found any keyboard or software incompatibilities. Please
read the enclosed file "SIXPACK.DOC".
Thank you for supporting shareware!
